Preview: Nokia BH-101 Headset
Written by jon on 6:26 AMThis might be a first: Nokia is actually releasing a Bluetooth 2.0 headset with a retail price under 50 bucks. Not pounds, not Euros - US dollars, baby.
The Nokia BH-101: look ordinary and costs a meager $40.
Okay, it doesn't look anywhere near as cool as those OLED headsets (like the BH-902) that cost hefty chunks of change (like $150 chunks of change). It doesn't have a display. It does have, however, an extra-thick earhook.
It also supports Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (enhanced data rate). But the kicker is - it only costs $40 dollars.
Battery life is decent, with the headset cranking out 8 hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby time.
The Nokia BH-101 will be available globally "for the Christmas season" for $40 USD (or 30 Euro). Can't get much cheaper than that.
