Nokia HF-300 Speakerphone
Written by jon on 6:33 AMWell, well. Only a couple of days after my comments about the lack of visor-mounted car kits, Nokia has announced the HF-300 Speakerphone. That would be a first from a company that previously produced only cigarette lighter-pluggable Bluetooth car kits.
No more cruising around with an ugly piece of plastic molded to your ear: Nokia's HF-300 is a combination loudspeaker and microphone in one device that you're supposed to hang on your car's sun visor. Like so:

It connects through Bluetooth (1.1) so it's compatible with any mobile phone.
The HF-300 also features a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) which removes background noises and echoes. In terms of battery life, this speakerphone is good for up to 20 hours of talk time, and has an automatic five-minute shutoff timer to save battery life.
While it's very similar to products by BlueAnt (the SuperTooth) and Siemens, the HF-300 does not have a fold-out microphone.
Expect the Nokia HF-300 Speakerphone sometime during the third quarter of 2007 - it'll be available globally for a pittance: 90 Euros ($122 US Dollars).
Or you could just buy the golf club.
