Point&Find at work: Thrrum

Thanks to reader MikeK for this one. The Thrrum Visual Browser takes the Nokia idea of Point&Find, a new-age technology that I have yet to write about, and makes it a reality right now instead of having to wait another five years for Nokia to get the software part right.
Simply take a picture of any object - whether it's a book, billboard, label, or whatever - with your (compatible) camera phone and Thrrum will do the dirty work of finding related information about your subject.
"With Thrrum Visual Browser and the included Cameraphone Search service, you can search and browse information related to the world around you with your camera phone. Thrrum Visual Browser provides 1-click access to the Web, comparison shopping, and more."
The service costs $5.99 for a years worth of usage, but there's no try-before-you-buy demo version. The software's also only compatible on a handful of phones - the Nokia N95 and N73 among them, as well as Sony Ericsson K550, K770, K790, K800, K810, K850, and T650 models.
Doesn't work on people. Yet.
