Nokia Internet Radio Application Now Available (Verdict: Worth the Download)

If you're in the mood for some free stuff, Nokia is serving up a new app for download: Internet Radio. Unfortunately, it's only compatible with a mere four phones - the N82, N91, and N95/N95 8GB.
Even though the service is a little short on radio station offerings right now, it's a welcome addition. And surprisingly, 64kbps doesn't sound too bad either.

Installation's a snap and the total size of the sis file is a miniature 231kb. You do not have to install to the phone memory. Download Nokia Internet Radio.

The interface is based on the newer Nokia Multimedia menus found on the N82 and N95 8GB, and looks slick to say the least. It's also extremely easy to use.

Cool features: you can check previously played songs on the current radio station, search for stations based on genre/language/country (or get a list of the most popular), and save your favorite stations for future listening.
Shortcomings: a lack of radio stations (at last count, only 135 in the USA, and let's just say the rest of the world doesn't even add up to anywhere near that number). I also found maybe two stations at best with new "hits" music, even though there were plenty of indie music and talk radio stations.
Also, Internet Radio isn't compatible with the original N95 dedicated music keys. I really think these are some of the most useless buttons ever.
I should probably add that you can't do a whole lot of multi-tasking while listening to the radio. Even simple stuff like opening up the gallery causes the music to skip.
